Anacostia Watershed Restoration Partnership
-AWRP-

In 2006, Anacostia Watershed Restoration Partnership (AWRP) was created with a continued commitment to carry out the Anacostia Six-Point Action Plan. The Partnership is the collaboration between governments, communities and the private sector for shared restoration efforts to recreate the watershed as an asset. The key elements of the Partnership are the 1) Steering Committee, 2) Management Committee, and 3) Community Advisory Committee. In 1990 the first Anacostia restoration project was completed. By the end of 2018, there are well over 9,000 projects in the ground. The Partnership has contributed greatly to the success of this conservation effort and providing an amenity to the community. The Anacostia Watershed Restoration Partnership is housed at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments(COG). To learn more about COG please visit our website at: https://www.mwcog.org/
